We had an interesting experience last week. We attended an exploratory conference call between CHREATE, a voluntary association formed by a group of HR professionals and focused on the future of HR in the workplace, and the Talent Platform Association, a recently created federation of talent platform technology providers focused on the "free agent" economy of freelancers, virtual teams, and virtual organizations.

Have you been reading about all of the angel and VC money being invested into early stage technology companies and wished that you could get into these kind of opportunities earlier, without a big investment?
At Organimi, we think this makes sense, and so we are offering people like you a chance to do just that - using the new crowd funding options that have come into force for companies this year.

One of the best experiences about creating software is that moment in time when you release new products. The excitement - and nervousness - as you introduce to your customers, and the market, "the new stuff".
2015 has been a big year for Organimi. We had a major new release in June, at the half-way point. We now have tens of thousands of users of our free Organimi org charts, from businessess, to governments, to educational institutions, to faith groups and other not for profit organizations. We're grateful for the interest.
We're also pleased to say that the paid options we introduced in June have been taken up by hundreds of these organizations as well. There are few things that are more validating to our team then seeing that people want to buy our software. Users who buy Organimi fund our product development efforts so we appreciate your financial support. Thank you.

In past blogs we have explored the "how tos" and evolving approaches towards the process of organizational design. In this fourth blog of a five part series on innovative and emerging alternatives for the organization of the workplace, organizational design expert David Creelman explores the online talent platforms being created around the world to leverage a global pool of skilled workers.
Which company is bigger: the famous advertising giant WPP with 180,000 employees, or the little known talent platform Tongal with 48 employees? At the moment, WPP is bigger....but the difference isn't as great as you might think. If you ask Tongal to make a commercial for you, they don't rely on their 48 employees; they rely on their talent community of 70,000 free agent professionals.

Thanksgiving. A time of family, abundance, thankfulness and fellowship.
While we are on the theme of learning to love and respect each other better, another powerful theme for good is sustainability - the care of our planet.
For many of today’s businesses, organizational design follows a well-trodden path – whether by functional role from the CEO on down, by business unit, or by product or service line. We’ve written about these patterns in a number of past blogs.
We’ve also touched on recent innovations in organizational structure, as in our recent blog series from organizational design innovation expert David Creelman.
